There is nothing you need to get right first

You do not need to prepare, dress a certain way, or have your problem figured out. A first session is built to meet you exactly where you are. Three things people usually want to know before they come in.

What to wear

Comfortable, everyday clothes. You stay fully clothed the entire session, lying on a padded table, so there is nothing to change into and nothing to take off.

How to prepare

No preparation needed. It helps to have a rough sense of what you would like to work on, but you do not need it sorted or explained. Come as you are, ideally well hydrated.

In person or online

Both work. In Moorabbin the monitoring is hands-on; online, Vildan guides you through self-testing over video. The session runs the same way either way.

The Session, Step by Step

How a kinesiology session actually runs

Every session is led by what your body shows, so no two are identical. The shape, though, is the same each time. Here is the arc of a first session from the moment you arrive.

  1. First few minutes

    Arrive and settle

You arrive at the Moorabbin clinic and take a moment to land. There is no rush into the work. The room is calm and private, and the first job is simply for your system to feel safe enough to begin.

  2. Set the direction

Name what you want to work on

Vildan takes a brief history and you agree on a theme for the session, the thing you want to shift. You do not have to explain it well or tell the whole story. A rough direction is enough for the body to work with.

  3. The feedback tool

    Muscle monitoring begins

You lie fully clothed on a padded table. Vildan applies light pressure to an arm or leg and reads the subtle change in muscle response. This muscle monitoring is a biofeedback tool, not a strength test and not a medical diagnosis, that shows where your body is holding load.

  4. The work itself

    The balance

Guided by what the monitoring shows, Vildan uses gentle techniques to help your nervous system release the pattern it has been holding. Nothing needs to be verbalised or relived. Some people feel a wave of emotion or a deep exhale, others feel quiet and relaxed. Both are normal.

  5. Come back

    Reflect and integrate

You come back to the room and Vildan talks you through what came up and what it points to. You leave with a clear read on what happened and a simple sense of what, if anything, to do between now and the next session.

  6. The days after

    After the session

Most people leave noticing a shift, calmer, lighter, or clearer. Some feel a little tired for a day as things settle. Vildan gives an honest read on whether a course of sessions would help, so one session is enough to know if the work is right for you.

Sceptical is a fine way to walk in

You do not have to believe in anything for a session to be worth trying. Plenty of people arrive curious, cautious, or outright unsure, and that is completely welcome. You stay in control the whole time, and one session is enough to see for yourself whether the work does anything for you.

  • You never lose control. Nothing happens without your say-so, and you can pause or stop at any point.
  • No belief required. The work does not ask you to buy into anything. You judge it by how you feel afterwards.
  • Curious about the how? Read what muscle testing actually is, or the plain-English guide to kinesiology.

Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions about a kinesiology session

What happens in a kinesiology session?

A kinesiology session at Intelligentle Healing in Moorabbin is a calm, structured, hands-on session. You agree on a theme with Vildan Alihodzic, PKP Kinesiologist, then lie fully clothed on a padded table while gentle muscle monitoring guides the work. Vildan uses light pressure on a muscle as a biofeedback tool to read where your body is holding stress, then uses gentle techniques to help it settle. Nothing needs to be talked through or relived. A first session runs 75 minutes. Muscle monitoring is not a medical diagnostic tool, and sessions are not a substitute for medical advice.

How long is a session, and what does it cost?

A first, initial session runs 75 minutes and is $270. Follow-up sessions run 60 minutes and are $220, with multi-session packages available at a discount. The initial session is longer because it includes taking your history and setting the direction. You can see current session options and book on the booking page.

Do I have to talk about my problems?

No. You set a theme for what you want to work on, but the muscle monitoring does the locating, so nothing has to be retold or relived out loud for the session to work. Many people choose kinesiology precisely because it does not require talking everything through. You are welcome to share as much or as little as you like.

What should I wear, and do I get undressed?

Wear comfortable, everyday clothes. You stay fully clothed for the entire session, lying on a padded table. There is nothing to change into and nothing to remove.

Does the muscle testing hurt?

No. Muscle monitoring uses light pressure on an arm or a leg, and Vildan is reading a subtle change in how the muscle responds, not testing your strength. It is gentle and comfortable, and you stay in control the whole time.

Can a kinesiology session be done online?

Yes. Online sessions run over video, with Vildan guiding you through a form of self-testing so the same feedback loop works remotely. Clients across Australia use the online format, and it runs the same way as an in-person session in Moorabbin.

How will I feel after a session?

Most people leave noticing a shift, often calmer, lighter, or clearer. Some feel a little tired for a day as the change settles, which passes. Because the work is gentle and body-led, there is no dramatic aftermath to manage, just an honest sense of what moved. Results vary from person to person.

How many sessions will I need?

There is no fixed number. Many clients notice something in their first session, and longer-held patterns usually take more. Most people start with four to eight sessions and reassess. Vildan gives an honest read after your first session, so a single initial session is enough to tell whether it is right for you.

Kinesiology is a complementary health practice and is not a registered health profession in Australia. Sessions are not a substitute for medical advice or treatment.
